Organization Purpose


The Virginia Association of School Personnel Administrators helps personnel/human resources professionals improve their administrative skills and grow extensively in their profession. The Association seeks to promote the exchange of ideas, information, and practices which keep its members up-to-date in this rapidly changing field. VASPA members benefit tremendously from professional development opportunities focusing on a wide range of topics: from school staffing to technological improvements to benefits administration to licensure and much more! Also, VASPA sponsors broad-based recruitment opportunities for school divisions. Quality teaching candidates from across the nation attend VASPA's recruitment fairs.

The Virginia Association of School Personnel Administrators advances educational excellence for its membership by providing a collective voice, leadership, resources, initiative, and a body of knowledge for the continuous development and improvement of personnel competencies, laws, policies and practices through communication, recruitment, political action, regional and statewide networking and professional development.
